Thomas P. Larkin, MD
Thomas P. Larkin, M.D. is the Founder of The Eye Center in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Larkin is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist who received his Medical Degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine and his residency in Ophthalmology at Tufts-New England Medical Center in Boston.
Dr. Larkin has served on the medical faculty of the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center and continues to proctor new physicians in family Practice residency at Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Larkin is committed to serving the eye care and eye surgery needs of patients in developing countries and continues to visit South America and Africa to provide eye care or help with mission trips. Dr. Larkin is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. In addition, he is a member of the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Denver Medical Society, the American Medical Association and the Arapahoe Medical Society. |
On a personal note, Dr. Larkin enjoys spending time with his wife Susan and their children and grandchildren-especially piano lessons with his granddaughter-as well as participating in many activities including golf, biking, hiking and skiing.
Michael L. Miller, M.D.
Michael L. Miller, M.D. is a Board Certified Ophthalmologist at The Eye Center in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Miller received his Medical Degree from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and his residency in Ophthalmology at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. In addition he completed a Fellowship in diagnosis and treatment of Medical Retina eye disease at Moorfield's Eye Hospital in London, England.
Dr. Miller joined The Eye Center in Denver in 1996 where he provides the full scope of General Ophthalmology patient care. He currently serves as the Chief of the Ophthalmology Section at Swedish Medical Center. Dr. Miller is a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. In addition, he is a member of the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, the Denver Medical Society and the Arapahoe Medical Society. |
He is a past president of the Colorado Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons and represented that society in Washington, D.C. for several years concerning health care issues.
On a personal note, Dr. Miller enjoys skiing and traveling with his wife Susan and their son Jack. He is often seen walking in the neighborhood with Jack and his adopted Greyhounds. His special interest in photography is illustrated by a number of his photographs displayed throughout the office of The Eye Center.
Neiel Baronberg, M.D.
Neiel Baronberg, M.D. is Board Certified Comprehensive Ophthalmologist and Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado - School of Medicine. He received his medical degree from the SUNY-Downstate Medical School in New York and was elected to AOA the National Honor Medical Society. Following this he completed his residency at the Manhattan Eye and Ear Hospital in New York City.
After this formal training he received an International Eye Foundation Fellowship to teach in Karachi, Pakistan and afterwards at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem. Upon returning to the United States, he and his wife, Joan, moved to Denver where he established a private solo practice in Lakewood. He is past chairman of the Ophthalmology department of St. Anthony Hospital and Porter Hospital. |
We are pleased that Dr. Baronberg has recently joined our team at the Eye Center where he is available for adult consultation and general eye care including contact lens evaluation. Patients are listened to in a relaxed and attentive manner and then carefully examined at a comfortable pace.
Dr. Baronberg volunteers regularly at the Eye Clinic of Colorado Coalition for the Homeless and also travels yearly in coordination with Boulder Community Hospital to Mante, Mexico where he performs cataract surgery for the local indigenous farming population which has no other resources for this care.
Dr. Baronberg also supports the Bluff Lake Nature Center and Surgical Eye Expeditions International. His other activities include book club participation, biking, skiing, racquet sports, and travel. he recently traveled to Burma, Ukraine, and Israel. Neiel and his wife, Joan are the parents of two grown children, Jeremiah and Sabrina now living in New York City.

Jenna Manning, O.D.
Jenna Manning, O.D. is a Denver Optometrist licensed in the State of Colorado. Dr. Manning graduated Cum Laude from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology in 1995. She went on to study at the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry where she completed a Doctor of Optometry degree in 1999. During her clinical rotations, Dr. Manning excelled particularly in the treatment of ocular disease and the fitting of contact lenses. While pursuing her optometric education, Dr. Manning was also active in VOSH (Volunteer Optometrists Serving Humanity), and participated in two medical outreach programs providing free eye care and spectacles to rural areas of Mexico. Dr. Manning moved to Denver and joined Drs. Larkin and Miller at The Eye Center in 1999.
At The Eye Center, Dr. Manning performs routine eye exams, treats many ocular diseases, and specializes in the management of dry eye, and the fitting of soft and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. |
Deborah Roos, O.D.
Deborah Roos, O.D. is a Denver Optometrist at The Eye Center in Denver, Colorado. Dr. Deborah Roos received her Doctorate of Optometry from Indiana University School of Optometry in Bloomington, Indiana.
Dr. Roos completed internships at the Perry Point Veterans Administration Hospital in Maryland, the Northfield Eye Clinic in Minnesota, and Pine Ridge Indian Health Service Hospital in South Dakota. She has been serving the eye care needs of patients in Denver for over 10 years. Prior to joining The Eye Center in Denver staff, she practiced at the Swedish Hospital Campus. She enjoys spending time with her patients and meeting their individual eye health and vision needs. Dr. Roos is available for general eye exams and contact lens fitting for Denver area patients. Dr. Roos outside interests include biking and camping with her family. |
